Home In the Morning

Home In the Morning

“I don’t want to get out of bed,” I thought as I woke up.

But soon I was refreshed and wide-awake.

I was greeted with the smell of sausage and scrambled eggs,

As I walked down the stairs.

My mom was cooking breakfast.

My sister was waiting for food.

My dad was still getting prepared.

My dog was sitting under the table,

Hoping for crumbs to fall.

And I joined my family.

Soon my sister left for school and I was alone with my parents.

We sits together, talk about our day, and watch the news.

When my bus comes, I wish my parents a good day,

And my morning ends.
